I use them to hang plants in baskets indoors. I have one of these that I bought ten years ago, it's still working great.I found these on Amazon after searching for a long time ( no one carries plant poles anymore) and snatched it up as soon as I came across it. It arrived fast and is identical to the one I got years ago. No difference at all. Still high quality and easy assembly. The poles go together tightly and hold strong. This isn't cheap thin split tubing like the $30 ones from Miles Kimball are. Those ones are not worth buying. Avoid them and buy this version. It has thick metal tubing in three sections and fits tightly without bowing or bending under weight. It's easy to adjust these to fit almost any ceiling, the spring is strong and the rubber grips on top and bottom keep it from sliding. The label on the pole says up to 26 lbs.
